Auditions 2023

Come audition for Creators Dance Project's 2023 Company. Dancers of all skill levels welcome. Dancers who participate in auditions will take a Contemporary Modern tecnique class, an Improvisation class, and a Composition/Repertory class. Dancers who wish to take the classes, but not audition, are welcome to pay and take the classes without committing to the company.

Creators Dance Project will have 2 companies this coming season: a company that is professional-level, but more accessible to moms with the small weekly commitment, and a company for less experienced dancers.

Rehearsals are Wednesdays 10-11:30am and/or 8:30-10pm. There will be optional technique for dancers every week 7-8:30pm on Wednesdays. Dancers have the choice to participate in either or both rehearsals on Wednesdays. There will be 2 rounds of choreography, one in the spring and one in the fall. Dancers on the company have the option to participate in either or both choreography rounds. The first rehearsal will be on February 15. Rehearsals on February 15 and 22 are for everybody, regardless of which round(s) you will be participating in. During these rehearsals we will get to know each other, and audition for choreographers for the season. Choreographers will be chosen from among the dancers on the companies. The two rounds will be March 8-May 31 and July 12-October 4. There will be mandatory run throughs throughout July 12-October 4 for the pieces set March-May. These will consist of 15 minutes to run through the piece and keep it fresh. Everybody will rehearse the rest of October and early November, and the show will be in November.
